In an interview, Tracy Morgan was asked why he pushed the mic stand to the side and walked around the entire stage during his stand-up. His response was ” There are pockets of love around the stage. In the front, on the sides, in the back. I want to reach all my pockets of love.” I love the term ( pockets of love). We all have pockets that we must nourish. Often, I get tunnel vision and focus on one area of life and neglect the others. Introvert runs deep within me, and social interactions create anxieties that are unfathomable to people who don’t understand. Albeit an excuse, it’s merely a truth about my lifestyle. Though I may not communicate or reach out often enough, I do recognize my pockets of love. In these ever-changing times, I feel, it’s essential that we all come together and create more love and compassion for one another. Together we rise or fall, let’s all reach our pockets of love.
